1. Who We Are

B-Konnected, LLC (“B-Konnected,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Colorado limited liability company that certifies rental housing on how well it is run. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information through our website at bkonnected.org, our Resident Success® certification program, and our Key to Your City® community evaluation (together, the “Services”).

Our evaluation platform is provided by our technology partner, Konnected Technologies Inc., which processes information on our behalf and under our instructions.

This Privacy Policy is part of, and should be read with, our Services and Programs Terms and Conditions.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, join an updates list, subscribe to our newsletter, or schedule a demo, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, and message.

Evaluation responses. Residents and community members can complete a Resident Success® or Key to Your City® evaluation by scanning a QR code or following a link. Evaluations are designed to be anonymous. We do not ask for your name, account, or login. Evaluations may ask about:

• Your experience with your home, housing management, neighborhood, economic stability, education, and health and well-being
• Your location, such as ZIP code and neighborhood, and, only if you choose to provide it, your street address
• Optional background questions, such as age range, household size, language, veteran status, race or ethnicity, gender identity, or disability. Every background question includes a “Prefer not to say” option.
• Open comments you choose to write

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our systems and service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location based on your IP address. We use privacy-friendly website analytics to understand how our site is used. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Respond to your questions, schedule demos, and send updates you asked for
• Provide the Services, including calculating property and community scores and sending alerts to housing operators and community partners
• Place evaluation results on a community map
• Produce reports, research, and measures of housing and community health
• Improve, secure, and maintain our website and Services
• Meet our legal obligations and enforce our agreements

4. Sensitive Information and Your Consent

Some evaluation questions may involve information that privacy laws treat as sensitive, including precise location (such as a street address), health and well-being, race or ethnicity, gender identity, and disability.

• Sensitive questions are optional unless they are needed for the evaluation to work, such as a ZIP code or neighborhood.
• Before you begin an evaluation, we explain what we ask and why. By choosing to answer optional sensitive questions, you consent to our use of those answers as described in this Privacy Policy.
• You can skip any optional question or stop at any time.
• We use location answers, such as ZIP code, neighborhood, and street address if you share it, to show where support is needed and guide community improvements, including on a community map.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

• Housing operators and community partners receive scores, trends, alerts, and reports. These are based on combined responses and reported by property or area. They do not include your name, and we do not tell them who said what.
• Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, our evaluation platform (Konnected Technologies Inc.), email, scheduling, customer relationship tools, and internal messaging. They may use information only to provide services to us.
• De-identified and combined information, meaning information that has been anonymized or grouped so it cannot reasonably identify you, may be used in reports, research, marketing materials, and comparisons, as described in our Terms and Conditions.
• Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our residents, customers, or others.
• Business changes, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

6. Artificial Intelligence Tools

We may use artificial intelligence tools to help analyze evaluation responses, such as summarizing common themes in open comments. We use these tools to provide the Services, under the same confidentiality and privacy protections described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to meet legal and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes. Evaluation responses may be kept to measure changes over time. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

8. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption and access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

• Skip optional questions or stop an evaluation at any time
• Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email, or by contacting us
• Ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information we hold about you
• Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it), targeted advertising (we do not use it), and certain profiling

Colorado residents have these rights under the Colorado Privacy Act. We honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control. Residents of other states may have similar rights under their state laws.

To make a request, email bkonnectedteam@b-konnected.org with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line, and we will respond to your appeal within 45 days. Because evaluations are anonymous, we may not be able to connect a specific evaluation response to you.

10. Children

Our website and evaluations are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our website may link to other websites and services, such as scheduling tools, social media, and 2-1-1 resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the date below. If changes are significant, we will provide additional notice.
